ABA Announces Parfishing to Join Lineup to Salute the Screaming Eagles

Join the Parfishing Casting Challenge
Athens, AL –
“Put a Rod and Reel back into the hands of America”
is the goal of Andy Afflick, creator and producer of the ParFishing Casting Challenge. Afflick announced today that ParFishing will take part in the upcoming American Bass Anglers “Salute to the Screaming Eagles” event taking place October 14th at Paris Landing State Park.

While all the soldiers are out on the water fishing, the ParFishing Casting Challenge will be on the banks of Kentucky Lake at Paris Landing State Park, allowing all attendees to enjoy the same fun and excitement as those on the water.

Everyone who attends, no matter what their age or skill level, can compete in a “No Entry Fee” Casting Tournament. The top five scores in the Youth (0 – 10yrs), Junior (11 – 16yrs) and Adult (17+) age group will compete in the Finals. The winner in each age group will receive the Championship trophy and the title “STEP OUTSIDE Most Accurate Angler”.

Casting will be from 10am until 3pm with the Championship starting at 3:30pm.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation’s STEP OUTSIDE Program is the Official Sponsor for the ParFishing event. STEP OUTSIDE is a program that encourages outdoor enthusiasts to welcome friends, family and special guests to share in the outdoor experience. STEP OUTSIDE challenges each & every outdoorsman and outdoorswoman to make a pledge to introduce a newcomer to target shooting, archery, hunting or fishing. ParFishing is Americas Hottest New Outdoor Sport. Participants flip, pitch or cast to nine different casting targets placed at different distances. Each target contains an opportunity to score 1, 5, 10 or 12 points with the center being the highest score. The ParFishing Casting Challenge has crowned Champions and introduced folks to the sport of fishing from New York to Florida and will being coming to a location near you. The 101st was activated on August 15, 1942 and since has served our country with honor, distinction, and courage. They were night dropped into France on the eve of D-Day and when surrounded at Bastogne, their commander when asked by the Germans if he wanted to surrender gave the now historic reply “NUTS!”
